AI Inspections Pro is an advanced upgrade to Whip Around Inspections. Powered by artificial intelligence, it automatically reviews inspection photos and notes to help your team catch issues earlier, stay compliant, and save valuable time.
How It Works
Photo Analysis – After an inspection, AI scans uploaded images to detect possible defects such as scratches, dents, rust, leaks, or other damage.
Inspection Analysis – The AI verifies that operators have completed required tasks (e.g., taking a photo of the cab to confirm it’s clean).
Cross-Check with Notes – It compares driver comments with the images. If there’s a mismatch (e.g., “no issues” written but visible damage in the photo), it flags it.
Alerts & Reports – Flagged items appear in your Inspections Pro module, making it easy to prioritize follow-ups and repairs.

Q: Does this replace my operators?
A: No. AI Inspections Pro is built to support your operators, not replace them. It adds an extra layer of review to catch what might be missed and gives managers greater confidence in inspection results.
Q: How accurate is it?
A: The AI is trained to detect common issues such as scratches, dents, rust, and leaks. While no system is perfect, it significantly reduces the chance of missed defects and flags potential problems for your team to review. With your feedback, we continuously update and improve the AI model.
Q: Do I need to change how inspections work?
A: Not at all. Your operators complete inspections exactly as they do today. AI Inspections Pro works in the background, reviewing photos, inspection cards, and notes after they’re submitted.
Q: Where do I see flagged issues?
A: All flagged items appear in your Inspections Pro dashboard, making it simple to review, prioritize repairs, and schedule follow-ups.
Q: What about privacy and data use?
A: AI Inspections Pro only analyzes inspection photos and notes submitted through Whip Around. Your data stays secure and is only used to provide insights for your business.
Q: Is this an extra cost?
A: Yes. AI Inspections Pro is an add-on to Whip Around Inspections. Speak with your account manager or our sales team for pricing details.

Q: Do all my users have access to AI Inspections Pro?
A: All users have access to AI Inspections Pro with the exception of Drivers & Mechanics. You can also apply custom permissions if you want to tailor access to AI Inspections Pro
Q: Why do I not see the AI Inspections Pro button?
A: Once the Whip Around team have enabled AI Inspections Pro, the system will begin to review inspection photos taken from that point onwards. As soon as AI picks up an anomaly that requires a review, it will appear in your AI Inspections Pro dashboard.

Login to Whip Around
There are 2 places where you can access Inspections Pro.
From the left hand nav, select Inspections History. On the top right hand you will see a button “Inspections Pro”. Click on this button.
Or on the home page when you log in, scroll down to the bottom of the dashboard and you will find the new Inspections Pro dashboard panel:
3. Here you will open up the Inspections Pro module where you can see all inspections that were flagged for review by AI. The left hand nav will show the last 30 days of inspections that have been flagged by AI for review.
The below example is an Inspection card where the operator needs to take a photo of the tires as part of the inspection form. While the operator successfully took a photo of the tyre, AI has picked up that there is rust appearing in the brake discs & rotors and advises to either create a defect to clean them or replace them.
4. When you select an item that has been flagged for review, you will be able to see the Inspection Photo, the Asset name, Driver who performed the inspection, Inspection ID and any comments mentioned by the driver
5. Inspections Pro then provides an AI suggestion which includes what has additionally been identified by AI, and provides you the option to instantly Create a defect for the issue found by AI or you can choose to Ignore the AI suggestion.
