Navigating through work order details page

This article focuses on actions that can be taken from work order details page

  1. Work order details section

In this section, all the key details of the work order are displayed

  • View status flow -

Clicking on this button will show at what status flow the work order has to go through to be completed.

Note - * on a particular work order status represents that status needs approval

  • Work order details -

  1. Work order details section will display the key information related to the work order

  • Service schedule <If applicable>

  • Due date

  • Completion date

  • Assignee

  • Items

  • Asset

  • Created by

  • License Plate <Asset>

  • Make <Asset>

  • Model <Asset>

  • Year <Asset>

  • VIN <Asset>

  • Mileage

  • Engine hours

  • Last inspected

  • Asset status <In/out of service>

2. Users can mark an asset in/out of service from within work order details section by toggling Asset status on/off

2. Attachments section -

  • Attachments section will display all the attachments on the overall work order or any work order items such as defects/service tasks/schedules.

  • Users can upload attachments on a work order by clicking ‘Upload attachments’ button, details in this article <Add link to attachments on work orders article>

3. Items section -

This section displays all the items added to a work order along with relevant parts and labor

  • Users can click on ‘+/-’ button next to each item to maximize or minimize the item details

  • Users can add a new item by clicking ‘+ Add item’ button

4. Cost summary section -

Cost summary section will display the overall cost summary for parts/labor on the work order.

Note -

  • If the cost has been derived from a part/labor added on an individual item, user won’t be able to edit the cost from cost summary section

  • If the cost has not been added a particular item such as defect/service task on a work order, user will be able to add/edit the overall cost from cost summary section.

5. Comments/Status log section -

  • Comments section -

This section will display all the comments added against a work order and will allow a user to add a new comment.

  • Status log section -

This section will display a log of all the key updates that have happened on a particular work order. User will also be able to download this status log into a PDF file by clicking ‘Download log’ button.
