To get the best experience with the Whip Around mobile app, we recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date.
Future app updates will require iOS 17 or later. If your device is running an earlier version, you can continue using the app version you currently have installed. However, updating your device is recommended to continue receiving future app updates and improvements.
This article explains how to check your current iOS version and how to update it if an upgrade is available.
How to check your iOS version
Follow these steps on your iPhone or iPad:
Open Settings
Tap General
Tap About
Look for Software Version
The number shown next to Software Version is your current iOS version.
If your device is running iOS 17 or later, no action is needed.
If your device is running an earlier version, you may be able to update.

How to update your iOS version (if available)
If an update is available for your device, follow these steps:
Open Settings
Tap General
Tap Software Update
Tap Download and Install or Install Now
Follow the on-screen instructions
Before starting the update:
Connect to Wi-Fi
Make sure your device has enough battery or is plugged in
Allow enough time for the update to complete

If you don’t see an update available
If your device does not offer an update to iOS 17:
You can continue using the Whip Around app version currently installed
You may not receive future app updates or new features
No immediate action is required
