Deleting an inventory part

How to permanently delete your inventory parts

You can find your parts inventory under Maintenance > Inventory in the left-hand navigation.

Deleting a part

Deleting a part removes it permanently from your inventory, including all team information, stock levels, and vendor data associated with it.

  • Find the part you want to delete on the inventory list.

  • Open the Actions dropdown and select Delete.

  • Confirm the deletion when prompted.

The part will be removed immediately and cannot be undone.

Note: You will still retain information on what parts has been purchased or consumed in the purchase order/work order pages respectively. However, You will not be able to make changes to it, nor can you receive any new parts via the purchase order. If you still plan to keep a part in stock, we recommend keeping it rather than deleting it from the system.

Who can delete a part?

Not everyone has access to delete parts — this depends on your role.

Cannot delete a part — can only remove their team's details from a part via edit

Mechanic

Cannot delete a part

If you don't see a Delete option in the Actions dropdown, you don't have the right permissions. Reach out to your admin if you need a part removed.

Note: Removing your team's details from a part is different from deleting the part itself. If you only want to unlink a part from your team — without affecting other teams — see Inventory Module: Adding Parts
