Assigning Forms to Assets

An overview of how to assign an Asset or set of Assets to a form

Assigning Assets to a form enables you to match your Assets with the right forms. When selecting an Asset in the Whip Around app, your drivers will only see a list of forms assigned to that particular Asset.

Assigning an Asset to a Form from the Asset Module

Step 1:

While on whiparound.com, navigate to the left hand menu and select 'Assets'. This brings you to the main Assets page.

Step 2:

Click the check boxes to the left of the Asset or Assets that you want to assign forms to. You may select one, some, or all of your Assets. Select the 'Actions' button and then select the 'Assign forms' option.

โ€‹Please note: You are able to select multiple vehicles at once to be assigned to a single or multiple forms.


Step 3:

A popup will appear with a list of all of your forms. Select the forms you want to assign to the Asset(s). Then, click 'Save'.

After clicking the save button, drivers will be able to select only the form(s) that have been assigned to that particular Asset.


Assigning a Form to an Asset from the Asset Profile


โ€‹You are also able to assign an Asset to a form within the Asset profile. While on the Asset details page, you will see the list of forms that have been assigned. From there, you can click to add/remove forms to change the list.

Step 1:

Access the Asset profile by clicking on the name of the Asset from the Assets list.

Step 2:

Scroll down from the Asset Details page to the 'Select forms available to this asset' section. From there, you can add or remove the forms available to that Asset from the list. After updating the list of forms, click 'Save'.

Please note: By default, all assets are assigned to all forms when a form is created.
