Whip Around meets the DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) compliance regulation in North America and has a couple of settings that can be turned on or off.
Require driver's signature on last inspection report - this setting will show your drivers the last inspection report to them in the driver's mobile app and request them to sign off on it.
Require mechanic's signature on corrected/no correction needed defect - this setting will show a pop up signature request to the mechanic or manager when changing a defect to 'Mark as corrected' or 'Mark as no correction needed'.
Click on the 'Forms' module from the menu on the left.
Click on the form you want to adjust the compliance setting on.
Scroll down to under the add new card section and you will see 'Compliance Settings'
Simply click the box so the green tick is showing to turn it on or no tick means it is off.
No need to save: your changes will appear instantly.
Require mechanic's signature on corrected fault
When a defect status is changed to 'Corrected' a pop up will show. The mechanic or manager can draw a signature and click 'Mark as corrected'.
The mechanics signature will now show on the inspection report under the fault that has been corrected.
