Creating a Work Order from a Defect

Select the 'Maintenance' module > 'Defects'. Here you will see all Defects that were created based off failed items on vehicle inspections. To create a Work Order, select the 'Create WO' button under the Work Order column.

Please note, if you see a name on this column it means a Work Order and mechanic are already assigned to this Defect, if you see 'Assign Mechanic' it means a Work Order is created but not assigned yet.

A pop up will open and you can add the details of the Work Order. If any Service Programs are due on the asset, you have the option of adding those to the Work Order as well. Choose the Work Order due date and the mechanic. Click Save.

The Work Order will be assigned a number and you can view the details of the Work Order, add additional line items of work that need to be completed on the asset, add labor and parts costs, and mark the asset as 'out of service' while repairs are happening.

Creating a Work Order from a Service Schedule

Select the 'Maintenance' tab > 'Service Schedule'. Here you will see all Service Tasks due that were created based off Service Programs. To create a Work Order, select the 'Create WO' button under the Work Order column. If you see a WO-#### on this column, it means a Work Order is already created.

A pop up will open and you can add the details of the Work Order. You have the option of adding additional repairs or service tasks to be completed as part of this Work Order. Choose the Work Order due date and the mechanic. Click Save.

Creating a Work Order from Scratch

Select the 'Maintenance' module > 'Work Orders'. Click 'Create Work Order' in the top right corner.

A pop up will appear where you can select which asset the Work Order is assigned to. If the asset has any pending Service Tasks, you have the option of adding these tasks to the Work Order. To add a different service task to the asset, use the '+ bar' under 'Items'. Choose the Work Order due date and the mechanic. Click Save.
