How to create a Work Order from scratch

The Whip Around 'Maintenance' module enables you to create work orders from scratch. You must be subscribed to Whip Around Maintain to create a work order.

Creating a Work Order

  1. Click on the 'Maintenance - Work Orders' module from the menu on the left.

  2. Click on '+ Create Work Order'

3. Select the Asset

4. Add a Service Task to the Work Order.

Note: If the service task you would like to add is not created, you can add a new service task by clicking on ‘Add it in the service task’ link.

5. Select the assignee for a work order from Vendor/Mechanic or one off third party

Note: If you can’t find the mechanic/vendor or third party you want to assign the work order to, you can add it by clicking Add a new mechanic/add it in the vendors/Add new third party link

6. Add due date for a work order and choose the appropriate status

7. Add attachments to a work order

8. Click on Create a work order button.

Create a work order using full screen view -

  1. Sometimes users might need to add various tasks to the single work order. So users have option to choose from side peek or full screen as the view

  2. Click on ‘Create work order button’, on the drawer, click on view icon and select full screen from drop down menu

3. Once you select the full screen, the create work order drawer will move to Full screen giving users more space to view all the details
