Creating a New Driver
Step 1:
Select the People module > Drivers. Click the 'Create Driver' button.
Step 2:
Fill out the Driver details.
Required Fields:
First Name
Last Name
App Username: We recommend firstname.lastname OR the driver's company email address. Usernames are NOT case sensitive. Please note: The app username may already be taken by another driver from another account. We recommend using email addresses whenever possible to avoid this issue.
App Password: We recommend a simple password that your drivers can easily remember. Password ARE case sensitive.
Team Name: Drivers must be assigned to a Team.
Mobile Phone: This field is required if you'd like to use the SMS Invite option to invite Drivers to download the mobile app. This is a fast and easy way for your drivers to initially download and access the app, especially if they are using a personal device or assigned company device.

Additional Fields:
You have the option to add additional details to the Driver profile for your record keeping.
Step 3:
When the Driver profile is complete, click the 'Create' button in the bottom right corner.
Inviting a Driver to the Mobile App
Email Invitation
To invite a Driver via Email, add an email address on the Driver profile and then check the 'Email Invite' box > Create (or save). You can select the Email Invite box before or after creating the Driver profile. If your Driver deleted the email, you can resend the email using this method.
The Driver will receive an email with instructions on how to download the app from the app store. If the Driver has already downloaded the Whip Around mobile app, when they select 'Click to Login', they will be automatically logged in with their username and password. If they don't already have the mobile app downloaded, you will need to provide their username and password to them and instruct them to download the app using the instructions provided in the email.
SMS Invitation
To invite a Driver via SMS, add a mobile phone number on the Driver profile and then check the 'SMS Invite' box > Create (or save). You can check the SMS Invite box before or after creating the Driver profile. If your Driver deleted the text message, you can resend the text using this method.
The Driver will receive a text with a link to download the Whip Around app. If the Driver has already downloaded the Whip Around mobile app, when they select 'tap this link', they will be automatically logged in with their username and password. If they don't already have the mobile app downloaded, the link will direct them to download the mobile app from the Apple or Google Play store and then the Driver should return to this text and click the link to be logged in.
