Accessing the defect details page
Navigate to Maintenance → Defects from the left-hand navigation bar.
Click on any defect ID to open the defect details page.
Viewing comments
All comments added to the defect are displayed in the Comments section, showing the name of the person who added the comment and the date and time it was posted. The most recent comment appears at the top.
If there are more than three comments, a 'View more comments' link is displayed to show all available comments.
Adding a comment
Type your comment in the 'Comment' field.
Click 'Add comment' to save.
Note: Anyone who has access to this defect will be able to see the comments added.
Editing or deleting a comment
You can edit or delete a comment you have added. Click 'Edit' or 'Delete' on the comment.
Activity log
The Activity log tab displays a chronological record of all actions taken on the defect — such as status changes, assignments, and other updates. Each entry shows the name of the user who performed the action and the date and time it occurred.
Attachments
The Attachments section displays all files uploaded to the defect.
Viewing attachments
Attachments can be filtered using the following options:
All attachments
Documents
Media
Uploading attachments
Click '+ Upload attachments' to upload a file. The following file types are supported: DOC, PDF, CSV, XLS, JPG, HEIC, or PNG (max. 50MB).
Defect details panel
The Defect details panel is displayed on the right-hand side of the page and shows key information about the defect.
The following fields are displayed:
Defect name
Defect ID
Status
Corrected by (displayed when status is Corrected)
Corrected date (displayed when status is Corrected)
Defect type (Inspection / Manual / DTC)
Repeated times
Assignee
Date created
Priority (can be updated inline)
Severity (can be updated inline)
Driver
Created by
Team
Last updated
Work order ID
Inspection ID (inspection defects only)
Inspection form (inspection defects only)
Asset
Asset status (toggle to set asset In service or Out of service)
Custom fields (if configured by your admin)
Actions
Click the 'Actions' dropdown in the top right corner to change the status of the defect. The available status options depend on the current status of the defect — only three options are displayed at any time.
Editing a defect
Click 'Edit' in the top right corner to open the edit drawer.
The fields available to edit depend on the defect type:
Manual defect — all fields are editable:
Defect name
Date
Asset
Driver
Priority
Severity
Custom fields
Assignee
Attachments
Inspection / DTC defect — the following fields are editable:
Priority
Severity
Custom fields
Assignee
Attachments
Note: Defect name, Date, Asset, and Driver cannot be edited on inspection or DTC defects as these are captured at the time of inspection.
