Editing an inventory part

How to edit information and quantity of the existing parts.

You can edit a part in two ways:

  • From the inventory list, open the Actions dropdown next to the part and select Edit.

  • Or click the part name to open its detail page, then click Edit.

Update whatever you need and click Save. Changes to the part's general details (like name or description) will apply across all teams. Changes to stock, vendor, or storage details only affect the team you're editing.

Removing a team from a part

Want to unlink a part from a team without deleting the part entirely?

  1. Open the part and click Edit.

  2. Find the team you want to remove and click the delete icon next to it. The team will be removed from view straight away, but nothing is saved yet.

  3. Click Save to confirm.

Team managers & mechanics: You'll only see the details of the teams you manage or follow. You may make updates to the part's general details, but you will not be able to see quantities from teams that you are not managing. If a part exist but is not in a team that you are managing, you will not see the part at all.
