You can use Bulk Upload to quickly add assets to Whip Around or update existing asset information. If you only need to update specific assets, simply include those assets in the upload file rather than your entire fleet.
Go to the 'Assets' module and select 'Export' > 'Export Assets to CSV'.
This will generate a CSV document containing all of your current asset information, including the Whip Around ID used to update existing assets.
Important: Do not remove or edit the Whip Around ID column, as this is used to match and update the existing asset records.
Open the CSV document and make the necessary updates to your asset information.
You can update information such as:
Team assignment
Asset name
VIN number
Make, model, and year
Asset type
Mileage or engine hours
Any additional asset information that may have been missed during the initial setup
Once you have entered the updated asset information, save the file as a CSV.
Go to the 'Assets' module > select '+ Asset' > select 'Bulk Import'.
Select 'Choose File' and upload your updated CSV file.
Once the upload is complete, the status will change to 'Updated', confirming that the existing asset information has been successfully updated.
The new or changed asset information will now be reflected on both the dashboard and mobile app.
