Whip Around is a powerful fleet management software that helps organizations of all sizes to streamline their vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, and compliance reporting. One of the key features of Whip Around is its asset module, which allows you to manage your assets, such as vehicles, equipment, and facilities, in a centralized location.
Getting Started with the Asset Module
To get started with the asset module, you will need to first log in to your Whip Around account and select the 'Assets' tab from the navigation menu. Once you are in the asset module, you can start adding your assets to the system. Whip Around allows you to add different types of assets, such as vehicles, trailers, equipment, facilities, and more.
Adding Assets to the System
To add an asset to the system, you will need to select the '+ Asset' button and fill in the required information.
The information required will depend on the type of asset you are adding. For example, if you are adding a vehicle, you will need to enter the make, model, year, VIN, and other relevant details. If you are adding equipment, you may need to provide the manufacturer, model number, and other technical specifications.
Managing Your Assets
Once you have added your assets to the system, you can start managing them. Whip Around provides you with a range of tools to help you keep track of your assets, such as inspections, defect management, maintenance schedules, service histories, work orders, and document storage. You can also assign assets to drivers or operators and set up custom alerts to notify you of upcoming maintenance, inspections or service requirements.
Configuring Assets Module
You can configure the assets module to display specific columns including custom fields. Not only can you configure which columns you are viewing but also adjust where the column is located in the module.
To configure which columns you'd like displayed, select 'Columns'. Once selected, you'll be able to adjust which columns you'd like to view by checking the check box. Notice any custom fields added to the assets module will appear as well.
Once added, you can configure your view by holding the column and dragging to the left or right.
Reporting on Assets
In addition to the asset management tools, Whip Around also provides robust reporting features to help you analyze your assets' performance and make informed decisions. With Whip Around, you can generate reports on a variety of metrics, such as inspection rates, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and more.
