QR codes and barcodes can be created at any time and assigned to any asset. When a barcode or QR code has been created, starting an inspection on the mobile app is as simple as scanning it and starting the process.
Note: You'll first need to generate a barcode or QR code for your assest(s) from your Whip Around account using a web browser. To learn how to generate barcodes or QR codes for your assets click here.
How to Scan a QR code or Barcode to Begin an Asset Inspection
Step 1:
From the homepage of the mobile app, select 'Scan Barcode'
This will open the camera app on your device.
Step 2:
Align the barcode or QR Code with the moving box on the screen and the app will automatically scan it and take you to select an inspection form.
Note: You can turn the flash on if you are in a darkened environment and having trouble scanning the barcode or QR code.
