Creating a easy way for users to update your inventory via barcode

Updated over a week ago

What’s New: You can now create unique barcodes codes for your inventory allowing you to scan and update inventory items.

Barcodes can be created at any time and assigned to any inventory item. When a barcode has been created, updating an inventory item on the mobile app is as simple as scanning it and updating the information.

How To Create a Barcode for an inventory item.

Step 1:

In the menu, navigate to 'Maintenance' > 'Inventory'. Once on the Inventory page, click the check box next to the item you want to create a barcode for. Inventory items can be selected one-by-one or can be bulk-selected.

Step 2:

Click the 'Action' button and then the 'Generate barcode' button.

Step 3:
Select the quantity, depending on how many barcodes you want to print for each Inventory item. The maximum is 10.

Step 4:
Select the size of the label you would like to create.

  • Small has 30 Barcodes per page and features the Inventory part name.

  • Large has 10 Barcodes per page and features the Inventory part name, UPC number (if available), and SKU (if available).

Step 5:
Download the template. Press the 'download template' button and it downloads to your normal location. Please note this may take a few moments to generate.

We have suggested labels so that the print layout aligns and matches well.

Step 7:
Once you have printed your Barcode(s), attach the label to the correct Inventory item/location in an easy-to-view/scan position.
