What’s New: You can now create unique barcodes for your inventory, allowing you to scan and update inventory items.
Barcodes can be created at any time and assigned to any inventory item. When a barcode has been created, updating an inventory item on the mobile app is as simple as scanning it and updating the information.
Note:
You can generate a barcode on the web from a desktop computer.
Use the mobile app to scan an existing barcode.
How to Scan a Barcode to view or update an inventory item
Step 1:
From the homepage of the mobile app, select 'Scan Barcode'
This will open the camera app on your device.
Step 2:
Align the barcode with the moving letterbox and the app will automatically scan it and take you to the inventory item screen.
Note: If you are in a darkened environment, you can select the flashlight functionality.
Step 3:
You can view and update the details of the inventory item from the mobile device.
Changes will also be reflected on the Whip Around web platform
Note: a location must be selected to view/update the quantity.
