New feature

Purchase Orders are now available!

Whip Around users can now create a Purchase Order to add items to inventory

This new feature allows users to submit requests and get approvals internally to avoid duplicate or unnecessary orders. You can also use status labels to keep track of in-process inventory and help reduce missing orders.

By automatically updating your inventory when a purchase order is marked as received, you can keep inventory numbers accurate. This also allows managers to stay organized by maintaining a digital record of purchase orders for internal bookkeeping.

Scheduled reporting makes generating reports even easier

Applies to all report types, multiple users and frequencies

Need the same report delivered to you every Tuesday? Every week? Every month? Done! The new scheduled reporting functionality gives Whip Around users the option to automatically send reports to the people who need them, when they need them.

Barcode and QR code scanning for assets & inspections

Get ready to scan your assets and go!

Whip Around users can now create unique barcodes and QR codes for your vehicles and equipment. Once you've got it printed, you can scan the unique barcode using the Whip Around mobile app and start a new inspection immediately — saving you valuable time and minimizing errors.

Adding a service program from asset profile page

Whip Around uesrs can now add a service program from the asset profile page (while adding a new asset or updating an existing asset).

On the asset profile page, you will find a list of service programs that can easily be added to a new asset. Previously, users had to assign assets to a service program by manually going into each service program


  • Users can assign multiple service programs to a single asset

  • Users can add/update service programs on existing assets

  • This ability depends on each user’s permissions

Assigning and accessing Work Orders just got better

Whip Around users can now assign Vendors, Mechanics, and External Third-Party Contacts to a Defect or Work Order.

Furthermore, External Third-Party Contacts can now access Defects and Work Orders via a magic link without needing a Whip Around account.

Make data-driven decisions with Wallet reporting

Whip Around has empowered our Wallet users to effortlessly download various reports about their document statuses, including:

  • All documents

  • Expiring soon documents

  • Expired documents

  • Drivers without documents

  • Assets without documents

These reports offer our customers a concise overview of their Wallet documents, highlighting crucial details about expired or soon-to-expire documents. By leveraging these reports, Wallet users can maintain document compliance and enhance operational effectiveness.

Now, when you open the Whip Around mobile app, you'll have the choice to dive into an inspection or check on any existing defects directly from your home screen.

We've updated Out of Service permission changes for certain roles

Whip Around users can now pick which users can modify the Out of Service status.

Users can easily set a vehicle's status as in or out of service. Give your users the access they need by further customizing their permissions.
